How It All Began
In April of 2005 we purchased the domain and designed a website for the Alhambra Class of 1973 to assist with our class’s reunion happenings. The mission of the Alhambra73 website was to keep class members updated on reunions and the current happenings in class members' lives. Also one of the other main objectives of this site was the Registration Link, so that we could always have pertinent information to find classmates in reunion years. That site is still active and available for you to visit at
www.alhambra73.org or simply select the Alumni tab on this site and follow the links.
That site originally contained the slide show presentations and the history sections which are now a part of this Alumni site. However as we continued to grow and expand these sections we caught the attention of other class years. It was suggested to us that we become less exclusive and more inclusive to all the Alumni of our high school. So in May of 2009 we purchased the Alhambra Alumni domain. We moved the Slide Show section and the History section over to the new alumni site. Because whether you were a Panther or Bulldog the history and slideshow sections of this site is a part of your life.
Since then the History section has become a Alumni Members section with 1,000 stories currently posted spanning the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s 80’s and 2000’s. There are stories in other years as well and research continues to fill the entire 110 year time line. Plus we have 84 years of Yearbooks on line in the History section.
Please visit the History section to find out more about membership. Your help and support means a lot to us and allows us to expand and grow.
Why We Are Special
We the classes of this one high school community were truly blessed to grow up in a very special place and time. We have enjoyed the opportunity of a life time to have been born and raised in this beautiful little community of Martinez. It is an old city steeped in history with high morals and standards. Our parents worked hard to raise us up to be good decent God loving citizens. We are indeed a very special bunch of people; no matter how far we travel and where we now hang our hats that little town surrounded by beautiful scenic hillsides and the Straits of Carquinez is still home.
There have been many special moments and landmarks in our lives, here is just one of them.
